Lol, Update Assistant doesn’t work in S Mode. My Surface Go stuck with I am afraid the October update fiasco has frightened Microsoft and forced them to be over cautious for this May update I guess you have to strip your pc out of all peripherals and external devices in order to have an error-free update! Seems that way. I tried to manually update our HP desktop in the living room using the upgrade assistant Windows update shows no updates available.

It went through the process of downloading the update and everything only to tell me that it won’t let me update that PC to because it has an external USB hard drive attached. It told me there is some kind of potential issue with the update process for and external hard drives that could cause an issue. It told me MS is aware of this and that as soon as they fix this problem and consider it safe that the PC will automatically get Seems pretty crazy to me that any PC with any external media plugged into it including flash drives which it mentioned specifically as well even though I did not have one plugged in is flagged to not get the update.
